ISTP/IACG CDAW Data Summary

On all computers with access to the archive, the main directory containing all the data is:

/service/trace-arch00/trace05/istp/

Some of the data files can be accessed via the web, through the "Target Event Data" directory.

Software tips are included in various README files (which are listed next to their instruments). Also, there are software tips on the web.

Four General Guidelines:

1. Please use as much of the available data as possible. The accumulation took a great deal of work, and full advantage should be taken of these resources.

2. Please edit the bibliography! We want to ensure that all of the references and prior efforts are noted and available. There is a general bibliography in data/biblio and there are event-specific bibliographies in each event directory (e.g. data/98apr23/biblio).

3. Please edit the event timelines in each directory (in a thorough manner). These are for future reference as well as reference by other groups. It takes a few seconds, and will be of enormous help later.

4. Make sure your group's web page is up to date (in public_html/). If you make an interesting image, copy it over to the web directory for later use.

Lists of instrument data contributed to the CDAW follow. The available data for each event has been sorted into subdirectories, with names like "98apr23" and "97nov27." In the following instructions, they will be referred to by a generic name of "yymmmdd" (for 2-digit year, 3-letters of month, 2-digit day). please refer to the list of Data Contacts for specific questions.
