LASCO and EIT observed a full halo CME early on 2000/11/25. This event was
first seen in C2 at 01:31 UT, as a bright fast front over the E limb. It
later appeared as a full halo, with the brightest part in the E. The
measured plane of the sky speed was a rapid 2202 km/s at PA 90 (E limb).
EIt observed a filament eruption and M8.2 flare in AR 9240, located at N09
E46. The EIt event began at about 00:36 UT.
Images and movies of this event can be found at the LASCO ftp server:
ftp://ares.nrl.navy.mil/pub/lasco/halo/20001125a.
Note that because of the short time between events, these are the same
movies as in the 20001124c directory.
Best wishes,
Simon Plunkett.
PS This completes reporting of the events of this past weekend.
