As reported earlier, LASCO and EIT observed a full halo CME on 2000/11/24.
The event was first seen in C2 at 15:30 UT, as a bright front over the NW
limb that later became a full halo. The measured speed in the plane of the
sky was 890 km/s at PA 325 (NW limb).
EIT observed an X2.3 flare, with associated dimming and EIT wave, from AR
9236 beginning at about 15:00 UT.
Images and movies of this event are available at the LASCO ftp server:

Best wishes,
Simon Plunkett.
