The first of two events today, 2000/09/15.
Faint full HALO CME event. Observed in both
EIT and LASCO instruments.

LASCO and EIT observed two (2) full halo CMEs today, 2000/09/15. Using
the NOAA coding there will be two separate alert messages.

The first event was visible in C2 at 11:50 UT as a faint loop front with
material at all position angles.  The speeds through the C2 and C3 fields
averaged to 377 km/second, measured at PA 209 degrees. 

EIT observed a flare at 11:00-11:24 UT near disk center at location [N14; 
E2.2]. GOES shows a C9.5 X-ray flare at 10:51 UT from AR9165. This flare
is probably associated to the HALO CME event seen in LASCO.
