Subject: Full Halo CME on 2002/12/02, backsided
Status: O
LASCO and EIT observed a full halo CME on 2002/12/02. A thick
wide bright leading edge was first seen in the NW in C2 images
at 17:54 UT with full coverage of the C2 occultor by 18:30 UT,
albeit faint in the S. The front first appeared in C3 at 18:42 UT
with full coverage by 19:42 UT.
EIT images between 17:00 - 18:24 UT clearly show a large loop
system over the NW limb, with clear continued outflow to 19:13 UT.
This CME has therefore been determined backsided.
