EIT and LASCO observed a full HALO CME Event 2002/03/11. This event was
first seen in C2 begining at 23:06 UT on 2002/03/11 as a double loop front
with bright LE and wide cavity. First entering the field at PA 120
degrees and developing to a full HALO with faint material off the West
limb. The event was first seen in C3 at 23:42 UT and tracked to 16Rs
before a temporary DSN data gap. The plane-of-sky speeds averaged in both
fields to 883 km/sec with acceleration through C3.
This event was first seen in EIT at 22:35 UT with a Southward transient
dimming of AR 9866 at location [S7.8; E43.5]. The observation was less
than good during this period as we were taking cal images and loading a
new observation plan.
